The updated Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and new Heavy Vehicle Accreditation (HVA) scheme took effect on 1 August 2026. No new NHVAS accreditation is being granted, but existing NHVAS operators can continue to operate under the NHVAS until the expiry of their NHVAS accreditation. NHVR Go is used for all NHVAS transactions, including maintaining vehicle/driver records, ordering interception books/labels, and submitting your required compliance audits.

Applications for NHVAS can only be submitted by a company director or the individual who will hold the accreditation.
